 Khawaja Imran Nazir and Khawaja Salman Rafique Chair Meeting on Dengue and Infectious Disease Control

Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir chaired a high-level meeting regarding dengue and other infectious diseases.

Secretary Health and Population Nadia Saquib, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, and senior officers of all relevant departments attended the meeting. Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, CEOs of Health, and medical experts also participated via video link.
The participants reviewed in detail the current dengue situation across the province and the preventive measures being implemented.
Khawaja Imran Nazir directed that monitoring teams remain active in the field daily to ensure an effective reporting system. He emphasized that hotspot geo-tagging, spraying, and indoor and outdoor surveillance must continue without interruption.
Khawaja Salman Rafique cautioned that even minor negligence during seasonal changes could prove harmful, urging all institutions to stay alert. He appreciated the dedication of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and field workers.
