The foundation stone for the revamping of the Maryam Nawaz Mother and Child Health Center at Joray Pull, Lahore, has been laid under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Imran Nazir and Khawaja Salman Rafique.



 

The project aims to provide modern, quality, and dignified healthcare services to women and children in the area while further strengthening the healthcare infrastructure. The center will be upgraded with modern medical equipment and improved facilities. Qualified gynecologists, pediatricians, and trained healthcare staff will be deployed to ensure comprehensive maternal and child healthcare services under one roof.

Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir reiterated that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and that both rural and urban populations would be provided equal access to quality healthcare services. He emphasized that the initiative would play a vital role in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in the region.

Local residents welcomed the initiative and appreciated the Punjab government’s continued commitment to public welfare. The Punjab Health and Population Department reaffirmed its resolve to ensure transparent, quality, and respectful healthcare services for the people.
