Provincial Minister for Health and Population participated in a policy dialogue on “Maternal, Newborn and Child Health & Nutrition in Punjab” along with Secretary Health and Population Punjab Nadia Saquib.
During the dialogue, discussions were held on further improving healthcare services for mothers, newborns and children, enhancing nutrition indicators, and ensuring access to quality healthcare facilities across Punjab.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Health and Population stated that under the leadership of, the Punjab Government is giving top priority to the health and well-being of mothers and children. He emphasized that effective policymaking and coordinated efforts are essential to eliminate malnutrition and achieve better health indicators.
Secretary Health and Population Punjab highlighted the ongoing initiatives of the Health Department and shared that several projects are underway to improve maternal and child healthcare, nutrition programs, and primary healthcare services.
The meeting also included detailed discussions on future strategies, policy recommendations, and collaborative efforts aimed at further strengthening Punjab’s healthcare system.
